OnePlus has released a new beta software update in operating system i.e OxygenOS 9.0.6 for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T have received OxygenOS 9.0.6 and 9.0.14 respectively with a few exciting improvements. Here are the major highlights of upcoming OnePlus 6/6T Mobile Phones features which OnePlus has confirmed on the OnePlus forum for its 2018 devices.
Here are some great improvements and additions in OnePlus 6/6T Mobile Phones :
1. Always on Display (AOD): Always on Display was introduced by Nokia almost a decade back as Glance Screen, but then it got lost somewhere in time with Nokia taking a break from Phone handset business as Microsoft started pushing Windows phones more aggressively. Today Windows phones are long gone and some Samsung, Motorola, LG, Nokia phones do have this AOD feature. Since there is an absence of notification light on OnePlus 7 phones, OnePlus is looking into implementing AOD in their devices.
2. Video recording with the ultra wide camera: This widely awaited feature request by fans is approved and will very soon make its way to OnePlus 7 phones.
3. Folders in app drawer: App Drawer in Oneplus phones can be accessed via swiping left on the home screen. OnePlus commented that it was looking into this request currently.
4. Adaptive Icons: OnePlus is looking into this request as well.
5. Step Counter: OnePlus stated that it will add this functionality in the Shelf Drawer without making a separate app for the same.
6. Recent Apps Menu: Users will soon be able to view more apps in this category in the upcoming future updates.
7. Quick reply in the landscape mode: OnePlus is looking into the request that background apps should not freeze while using a quick reply in the landscape mode.
