Oppo ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 was launched by Oppo today amid much fanfare. Last year, Oppo launched ColorOS 7, this year they are taking a leap to ColorOS 11 directly. In yesteryears, Oppo users had to wait 321 days and 83 days respectively to get access to ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 and ColorOS 7 based on Android 10, but this year the company has launched ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 on almost the same day as Google released it.

Oppo ColorOS 11 Key Highlights

Let’s have a look at the new features coming along with Oppo ColorOS 11 which is based on Android 11 :

Customizable Always On Display: The content of Always On Display is not only automatically generated (factory settings), but also it can be modified by the user as per their choice and preferences.

Note: The customizable Always On Display feature is only present on phones with AMOLED display running ColorOS 11.

Customizable Dark Mode: The contrast level can now be set on the Dark Mode as Enhanced, Medium, Gentle. The wallpapers and icons too can be adjusted as per the mode selected by the user.

Oppo Sans font:The new Oppo Sans font family in heavy, bold, medium, regular and light modes is now available for use in home as well as commercial purposes.

Oppo Relax 2.0: In this mode, the relaxing sounds like the bird calls, rain sounds, ambient city sounds will soothe the minds of the user.

3-Finger translate with Google Lens: ColorOS initially provided a screenshot with 3-Finger swipe, now with the same gesture the user will get an instant translate from Google.

Flex Drop: Now, the user can resize any window into a floating window or smaller mini window and keep working on some other app in parallel.

Nearby Share: It supports transfer of files, images, videos, APK files in a fast manner between Android devices.

Super Power Saving Mode: This optimized battery function mode lets the user do a 90-minute WhatsApp chatting or a 1-hour phone call with just 5% battery remaining in the phone.

Private System: To protect the privacy and preserve the work-life balance, the user can switch between profiles, protected by a password or biometric authentication.
