]]> OnePlus has started to rollout of OnePlus OxygenOS update 10.3.6 for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T phones, which consists of only system fixes and latest Android security patch of Sep 2020. OnePlus 6 and 6T devices are in their third year of release and therefore updates are rolled out after OnePlus8, 7 and Nord devices.

OnePlus has also recently announced in its community blogs that they would definitely roll out Oxygen OS11 for OnePlus 6 and 6T devices but we believe it would happen early next year only. As usual this update will be rolled out in a phased manner to a limited number of users and then a general population rollout will follow soon. Use of VPN to download the update earlier will be a futile exercise only.

As per OnePlus, there are various improvements in OnePlus 6 and 6T phones after this new OnePlus OxygenOS Update 10.3.6 rolled out. Given below is the changelog released:

System

  • Improved system stability and fixed general bugs
  • Updated Android Security Patch to 2020.09

OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 users will automatically receieve this new OnePlus OxygenOS update in their mobile phones. If, in case a notification related to this update is not available to OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 users, they can check for the update manually in Settings > System> System Updates.

]]> OnePlus has started to push the incremental rollout of OxygenOS 10.3.5 for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T phones. The latest update contains the fixes for system and stability, fixes the crash issue while using Chrome browser, optimized the RAM management, updated the Android security patch to most recent July 2020, and most importantly, includes support for newly launched OnePlus Buds, so that the users don’t face any problems if in future they buy and use OnePlus Buds with OnePlus 6/ 6T phone.

As usual, this OnePlus OxygenOS 10.3.5 update will be rolled out to a select number of devices/ users and then upon confirmation that there are no bugs or issues, it will be rolled out to the general population. Also, the use of a VPN to download the update earlier than others is futile as the update is not region-specific.
